Lactation Support in Orange County

The early days of feeding can feel tender and uncertain. As a Certified Lactation Educator Specialist, Jenn Miller offers calm, practical help so you and your baby can find your rhythm together.

What a Certified Lactation Educator Specialist offers

Steady, hands-on help in the early days of feeding

Feeding a newborn is a skill you and your baby learn together, and it is completely normal for it to take time. Jenn meets you with patience and practical guidance, so you feel a little more confident at every feed.

Education you can use

Clear, unhurried explanations of how feeding works, what is normal in the early days, and what to watch for, so you understand the why behind every suggestion.

Positioning and latch help

Gentle, hands-on guidance with comfortable holds and a deeper, more effective latch, the small adjustments that often make the biggest difference.

A feeding plan that fits

Help building a realistic plan around your baby, your body, and your life, whether you are breastfeeding, pumping, combination feeding, or still deciding.

Encouragement that grounds you

A calm, reassuring presence when the days feel long. Jenn helps you trust yourself and your baby, and reminds you that you are doing better than you think.

Troubleshooting early challenges

Practical support with common early hurdles like latch pain, frequent feeds, cluster feeding, and supply worries, with honest next steps when you need them.

Support that fits your birth

Because Jenn is already beside many families through labor and birth, feeding support can flow naturally from the very first hours with your baby.

Honest scope

Educational, supportive lactation help

It matters to us that you know exactly what this support is, and what it is not, so you can get the right help at the right time.

A Certified Lactation Educator Specialist provides educational and supportive lactation help. This is not clinical or medical care, and it does not include medical diagnosis or treatment. If your situation calls for clinical evaluation, for example a tongue tie assessment, a persistent supply concern, or a medical issue with you or your baby, Jenn will help you connect with the right clinical provider, such as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) or your pediatrician. She works alongside your medical team, never in place of it.

How it fits

Already part of your birth support, and available on its own

Breastfeeding and latch support is included, as appropriate, in the postpartum portion of the Birth Doula Package. Jenn stays with you for immediate postpartum support after baby arrives to help with those first feeds, and there is a postpartum follow-up visit once you are home.

Standalone lactation support is also available if you simply need feeding help, whether or not Jenn was your birth doula. Pricing for standalone lactation support is discussed during the free consultation, so it fits what you actually need.

What to expect

In a session, and when to reach out

Feeding support works best when it is gentle, unhurried, and centered on you and your baby. Here is what a session tends to look like and the moments families most often ask for help.

A calm, unhurried session

Jenn watches a feed, listens to how things are going, and offers small, practical adjustments. No judgment, no rush, just steady help that fits your family.

The early days

If the first feeds feel uncertain, reach out early. A little guidance in the first days and weeks can make the whole experience feel far more settled.

Cluster feeding

When your baby wants to feed again and again, it can feel overwhelming. Jenn helps you understand what is happening and how to get through it.

Latch pain

Feeding should not be painful. If it is, that is a sign to adjust. Jenn helps with positioning and latch, and flags when a clinical check is the right call.

Supply worries

Wondering whether your baby is getting enough is one of the most common worries there is. Jenn helps you read the real signs and find reassurance or next steps.

Whenever you need her

You do not have to wait until things feel hard. Reaching out for support early, with questions of any size, is always welcome.

Let's get feeding feeling settled
