Good to know

Common questions, answered honestly

What does a birth doula do?

A birth doula provides continuous emotional, physical, and educational support before, during, and after birth. That means helping you prepare and plan, offering comfort measures like counter pressure and positioning during labor, and being a calm, knowledgeable presence so you and your partner feel supported the whole way through.

Do you replace my doctor, midwife, or partner?

No. A doula never replaces your medical team or your partner. Jenn provides non-medical emotional, physical, and educational support and does not perform clinical tasks or make medical decisions. She works alongside your provider and helps your partner stay involved and confident.

Do you support hospital births and VBACs?

Yes. Jenn supports births in hospitals, birth centers, and at home, including VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). Many families come to her specifically for calm, knowledgeable VBAC support.

What areas of Orange County do you serve?

Jenn serves families across Orange County, California, including San Clemente, Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano, Mission Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Aliso Viejo, and Ladera Ranch. Not sure if you're in range? Just ask.
